Homework 3/23

I hate Kopel's new grading system. Kopel takes the best answer for a question and takes off for what you don't have. That means if someone put 20 SFIs for one question and you put 5, you would have a 25% so far on the test. So if some historian zealot (yay old vocabulary word) put down 8 SFIs for every question and you put maybe 3, well have fun with a 37.5%. Anyways, here is the homework:

Alg 1:
  • 1st Period: IDK (no one gives me it)
  • 2nd Period: p479 57-72
Geom:
  • 3rd: pgs 493 & 494 1-3, 7, 10-11, 13-16, 18, 20, 24, 26, 28
  • 6th & 7th: p493 & 494 1-6 ALL 7-29 ODD
Alg 2: CHAPTER TEST DUE TOMORROW, Read Section 8-3, 6-48 Even p442
Precalc: SECTION 6-1/6-2 QUIZ DUE TOMORROW, pgs 475 & 476 44-60 Even
English 1: WORK ON SERVICE HOURS, PRESENTATIONS DUE IN LESS THAN A MONTH, Quiz on vocab wednesday, test on vocab friday, work on optional reading assignments
Spanish 1: do up to WB p118
French 1: STUDY
German 1: Test tomorrow, review sheet due tomorrow, NOtebooks need to be ready by Wednesday
Kopel's: nothing
Sabin's: check blog (hw on the video we saw today)
Psy: Nothig
Phys: Nuttin

Hey Rick, you should ask Zeel for the Alg.1 hw for period 1. I'm pretty sure she writes it down.

Rick, I lost my map of japan today. I let someone borrow it and forgot to get it back. Could you post a picture of it or something because i have the test today. Another disapointment is that i didn't get a book this morning. Apparentlynobody turned in their books during 1st through 3rd period. I feel so depresseed. I might actually fail. :(

That grading system doesn't seem entirely accurate. Answers for Kopel's test are not all based on SFI anymore, remember. Or did Kopel tell you this was for sure how it works? At any rate, I believe this doesn't apply to the identifies; they're purely individual, no comparison, I'm pretty sure.

He told us in class that we are going against our peers for the grade now. He got rid of the SFI requirement.
